​​ There were a lot of activities in the Startup Ecosystem this week:

​ -  Indian Govt Launches Unified Platform to promote the startup ecosystem of the country, by planning to launch Startup India Public Digital Platform. 

​ According to the States' Startup Ranking 2021, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and nine other states and union territories have emerged as 'Aspiring Leaders' of the Indian startup ecosystem. 

​PM Modi introduced a number of digital initiatives, including 'Digital India Bhashini,' 'Digital India GENESIS,' and 'Indiastack.global.' He also announced the first cohort of 30 institutions to receive support from the Chips to Startup (C2S) Program. 

​ 

​-  The government has asked electric scooter manufacturers, such as Ola Electric, Okinawa Autotech, and Pure EV, to explain why they should not be penalized for the fires.  Companies have been given 30 days until the end of July to react to the notice. 

​Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, has taken another go at Tesla, claiming that treating Tesla Differently From Others Is Not In Best Interest Of India. Tesla has already shut down activities in India, whilst Ola's prospects in the EV industry are bleak.

​

​ -  Twitter has filed an appeal with the Karnataka High Court against some of the government's directives to remove information from the platform.

​The government and social media companies have been at odds for a variety of reasons, ranging from the implementation of IT Rules, 2021 last year to request to remove content.

​Web3 News of the Week

​ Several activities took place in Web3 lately. With the intent to capture some of the Web3 news here we see, 

​ 📻 The ED has requested additional details and documents from CoinDCX and CoinSwitch Kuber as part of its investigation into possible foreign exchange violations. Coinbase-backed, Vauld is the latest victim of the crypto crash. With immediate effect, the firm has banned all withdrawals, trading, and deposits on the Vauld platform. Vauld also laid off 30% of its workforce last month, with the majority of the workers coming from India.

​ 📻 Within an hour, the Salman Khan-backed GARI Token dropped from $0.72 (INR 57) to $0.13 (INR 10). Rumors developed that the cryptocurrency had been hacked, but the business later denied this, claiming it was a black swan market event. 

​ 📻 Cryptocurrency exchanges such as CoinDCX, WazirX, and ZebPay have suffered a 70% drop. The 1% TDS regulation, suggested earlier this year in Budget 2022, has been included into the Income-tax Act.
