​Here is a golden opportunity to Save your Language from extinction. Yes, languages do go extinct if not preserved. Many have been lost already and we do not want to lose anymore. We need folks to wake up and take charge to come up with measures to preserve each other’s language.

​Natural Language Understanding, Natural Language Processing enables more than digitization and digitalization of content in our languages. AI with NLU can enable longevity of a language. Have you ever wondered how you can bring in NLU and NLP for your language. Are you joining this movement to Save your Language?

​You are at the right place because we are having a webinar about this on Wednesday August 3rd at 9 AM PT. We will explain about these concepts and how you can leverage them for these tasks and bring in innovative solutions to language preservation.

​Also, we have a Affinity Group Meeetup at NeurIPS 2022. This is a a golden opportunity to connect with folks who are working on similar tasks and share expertise. NeurIPS is world’s renowned AI conference and here is a chance to be part of this affinity group meetup.

​Join us in breaking Eurocentric barriers and to build language models in a way that works efficiently and displays the richness of the Global South’s history.

If you work on language models, voice, or data related to language AI, share an abstract outlining - your work, challenges faced, WIP projects are also welcome. The submission will be double blind peer reviewed and once accepted, mentors will help you build a poster and you will have the opportunity to present at NeurIPS in New Orleans (or live/remote)
