​Will you become a digital nomad? The answer: it’s a BIG MAYBE. In 2018, 4.8M Americans were digital nomads. In 2020, that figure more than doubled and hit 10.9M. MBO Partners & Emergent Research attribute the 49% acceleration in digital nomads to the pandemic. Between that stat and the fact that 99% of people would choose to work remotely for the rest of their life, I expect more of us to become digital nomads. 

​And today’s digital nomad population is made up of 42% independent workers and 58% traditional jobholders. So, employers really need to work on their friendly digital nomad policy (even Harvard says so), and I need to buy Airbnb stock. Because did you know that their guest stays of ≧28 days are their fastest-growing rental segment and that they’re projecting this trend to accelerate? More days, more money.
