Here goes...

Hiya! It's been a few weeks since I've been in touch. Truth be told, I've had my head down in ant work mode, submitting proposals and preparing for a couple of upcoming trainings. And personally, it's been a few weeks of internal processing and continued foundation setting.

It's honestly been a few years since I wrote a proper newsletter, more regularly. And that's one of the foundations I want to build this year. And likely soon, these will be written by me but sent out by our new assistant. I'll tell you more about that adventure next time - I'm trying to select someone out of the top 3 candidates!

Here goes me diving into to be in more connection with you, here in your inbox.

I'll be going posting videos on YouTube later this week on Accessibility - Actually I was hoping to be creating a month of resources over there! And I'm offering some short 15 minute sessions to answer your burning questions on ethical business.

Thanks for being here!

In solidarity,

Anuradha

Resources / New Content

I was recently on the New Wave Podcast with Lisa Kuzman: Season 9 Episode 8: Anuradha Kowtha on the Crucial and the Quicksand

We talk about:

  • Nourishing the places we've neglected, and honing our foundations

  • Planning for the "tides" in business

  • Not allowing shame to define us

  • Recognizing the difference between knowing something intellectually, and processing it emotionally

  • The interconnected nature of grieving, both internally and communally

Tune in on all major platforms of podcasts or Lisa's YouTube channel for ongoing information about leadership in the online space! This is also where we house the video version of each episode - complete with closed captioning for our hearing impaired audience members!

What are your takeaways?

In Service

I wanted to serve the community by sharing about ethical/accessible/inclusive business practices - I made a short video.

1) 15 minute chats to answer your burning question about ethical, inclusive, and accessible business. It's totally free. You can find out more here.

2) If you are wanting a bit longer time to chat with me, you can donate to this fundraiser for a friend. DM or email a receipt of giving $50 USD or more and I will send you a link to a 90-minute work session with me.

We can talk about anything related to these topics:

  • Anything you are stuck on right now

  • Help with a next step or direction

  • Insight on your current products/services/trainings

  • Things you've wanted to ask but were afraid

  • Advice/feedback on something you are building

  • Review a piece of copy or content that you've put out there

Reflection question: I attended a weekly online DEI networking space yesterday and one the questions I was asked in check-in session was: ideas for companies who work with neurodivergent people, how best can their teams be supported? I urge you to reflect. I'll be sharing some of my ideas in the next week over on The Kowtha Constellation YouTube Channel.

Feedback: Also, I'm teaching an introductory talk about Sowing Post Capitalist Seeds for a new community. If you've taken the course, what skills or concepts do you wish you knew about before enrolling? And if you haven't taken it, what do you think you need to know about the course, or preliminary concepts or skills before diving into the course in the Fall?

Upcoming Events

Ethical Business Networking - Last Tuesday of the month. You can register here. We'll be digging into the topic of taxes and finances.

Accessibility at Any Budget - a webinar talking about accessibility. Free to attend. I'll be sharing practical tips and inviting you to join my upcoming course - The Future is Accessible. Register here.

On the Bookshelf

Back to Life - a British comedy/drama about a woman returning to her hometown after she served time for a crime. It was dark and beautiful in a way that US shows don't often capture. I adored the portrayal of Miri by Daisy Howard.

Red, White, and Royal Blue, recently, I finished a sweet, queer romance novel by Casey McQuiston. It was recommended by some of you — thank you! Very sweet. I love that reimaging of the past few years in both the UK/US scene for a sweet romance.

The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, Vol 4. by BBC Audio - the little one and I listened the first 3 a few years ago. We're working our way through this series about Ma Ramotswe, head of the detective agency in Botswana by Alexander McCall Smith. There are still Vol. 5-8 to check out.

Thank goodness for the Libby App!

And I bought some new highlighers and a new paper cutter - yay for new office supplies.
