Supplies Needed for Daily Pages 101
Hey Friends!
I'm so excited for our event this weekend, we are going to have the best time.
Over the next few days we'll prep for our Daily Pages 101 experience, and today I wanted to share with you a few of the things I thought you should know right off the bat.
First, I'm going to refer to everything in this retreat as scrapbooking. If you need to refer to your Daily Pages book as an art journal, a diary, a commonplace book, or anything else — that's totally awesome. There is no wrong way to do this project.
But for simplicity's sake, I'll be using the terms Daily Pages/notebook/scrapbook interchangeably throughout our lessons.
What you absolutely need to create Daily Pages:
— A Notebook.
Everything else is up to you.
Here are a few things I highly recommend:
The Basic Scrapbook Kit
— Cutting tool: scissors, trimmer, craft knife, whatever you work best with.
— Adhesive: wet adhesive, dry adhesive, tape runner, whatever you like best.
— Writing tool: black pen, pencil, whatever your go-to writing implement is.
And here are a few more things I suggest:
The Essential Extras
— Whatever else you usually play around with on a regular basis.
— 1-2 things you want to experiment with.
— A few things you want to use up (stickers, junk mail, washi tape)
Gather these things and put them all together in a small box or bag. You've now just created your very first Daily Pages Project Box, and we'll talk all about the importance of keeping a Project Box this weekend.
