​There’s a lot going on. Interest rates and gas prices continue to go up, McDonald’s is making adult happy meals, people are cooking chicken with NyQuil, quiet quitting, having unprotected sex (STDs on the rise), and women are still denied the freedom to decide what to do with their bodies. For the record, the choice to wear or not wear a headscarf should be left to the wearer and not anyone else. I stand with my Iranian sisters in solidarity.

​It’s normal to feel anxiety or stress with so many triggers around us, and yet it’s important to take time to do some self-care. Megan Thee Stallion suggests getting mental health support. Other self-care ideas: say “no” to the next ask, take a nap, or eat your favorite comfort food guilt-free.

​Reminder: Self-care is our birthright. Hustle culture tells us always to be on and work to be worthy humans, but the truth is that we’re all worthy from birth. So, go on and do some guilt-free self-care: rest and play.
