CommunityKit AppJam
Join us and the development community for CommunityKit's inaugural AppJam! In coordination with the beginning of RevenueCat's Shipaton, spend a weekend hacking, building, collaborating, and shipping.
Join us for community, collaboration, and more!
Generally speaking, standard hackathon rules apply. Projects must be submitted no later than Monday, Aug 4. All projects and interactions must adhere to the CommunityKit code of conduct.
So, what is AppJam?
AppJam is a distributed hackathon focusing on the Apple ecosystem. At hackathons, people work alone or in teams to ideate and quickly build or prototype a project within a time limit. In order to achieve this, they thrive on a spirit of collaboration! Work on building your project as you ask questions openly, offer help to others, and focus on critical features until you feel ready to submit your project. Also feel free to reference Wikipedia's page on hackathons.
What sort of projects can we build?
Any project at all that you're excited to work on is the right type of project! For this event in particular, projects do have to target Apple ecosystems.
Are there prizes for winners?
To be eligible for monetary prizes, we highly recommend shipping your projects and submitting them to RevenueCat's Shipaton! However, we will also be recognizing winners in our own way! Winners of each category will be featured on our socials. Additionally, ALL completed submissions will be listed on a public CommunityKit AppJam showcase.
Can designers join?
Absolutely! We're working on ensuring that designers are represented and able to participate. All engineering-heavy teams are encouraged to reach out to and include designers on their teams.
Do I need to have a team already?
You're more than welcome to join as a team, find teammates in Discord, or work alone!
What are judging criteria?
Judging criteria are still being finalized but will focus on usability, accessibility, completeness, and shippability.
