
Founders In The Wild - A Rock Creek Valley Hike
Join us for our second Founders Hike as we all put in the steps to earn our holiday Turkeys (vegan or otherwise). Our last hike was well attended and we are excited to continue celebrating our vibrant community of founders, investors, and inspiring entrepreneurs from DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
We’ll be doing a light picnic at our meeting point before we enjoy a moderate 2 hour riverside stroll along the Rock Creek River— easily accessible for both our drivers and public transportation crew.
Meeting Point:
Picnic Grove #1 (by Pierce Mill) @ Shoemaker St NW, Washington, DC 20008
*We will meet at the picnic tables across from Pierce Mill, by the sign for Picnic Grove #1.
Public Transit:
Take the Red Line Metro to the Cleveland Park metro stop. Once there, it will be a 16 min walk via the Reservation 630 Trail to arrive at the meetup point.

Parking:
Parking at Picnic Grove #1 (may be limited, but there is also street parking along Shoemaker St. NW and Spring of Freedom Street NW)
Western Ridge Parking (10 min walk from meetup point)
Beach Drive NW Parking Lot (10 min walk from meetup point)
As always, since parking spaces may be limited we recommend carpooling if possible!
The Plan:
11:00AM - 12:15PM: Meet at Picnic Grove #1 for a light picnic in the park before starting our hike
12:15PM - 2:00PM: Rock Creek Valley Trail Loop hike
2:30PM - 4:00PM: Those who choose to join, we'll be grabbing some food after our hike at the nearby Midlands Beer Garden
(12 min drive or Uber, everyone manages their own bill)
