David Reiley, research scientist by trade and curious experimenter by nature, presents a special Founders' Creative showing of "Experiment: Like your life depends on it!"
A pioneer in the use of field experiments in economics over the past thirty years, David is passionate about the use of experiments to understand when one thing causes another in human behavior, from auction bidding to charitable giving to digital advertising. After a first career as a tenured professor and a second career of seventeen years as an industry research scientist, David is now pursuing his third career as a theater artist. This performance combines his intellectual development as an experimental scientist with a look at how David applies his scientific skills to his own love life, in a way that enabled him to survive a series of spectacular disasters. In this show, he aims to entertain and to educate, in an attempt to help others benefit from what he has learned.
