About Event

FirstGen is hosting a seminar on immigration policy changes under the new administration and the last minute regulation changes from the previous administration.

New policy guidelines will be introduced in the first few weeks of the administration, which will have a significant impact on many tech workers and entrepreneurs in the NYC ecosystem.

We'll be hearing from a deep expert on the topic, Jonathan Grode, who leads the US practice at Green and Spiegel, an immigration focused law firm. He'll share:

  • existing and expected legislative changes

  • its impact on entrepreneurs looking to start companies in the US

  • its impact on H1-B and O1 Visas

  • provide tactical next steps for those potentially affected.

Jonathan is regarded as a thought leader in the field of immigration law. From advancing the use of the J-1 for entrepreneurs to cutting edge advocacy during the 1st Trump administration, Jonathan is considered a creative, yet pragmatic immigration attorney who provides real world solutions to those looking to establish a life in the United States.
