Building a Digital Backbone for Climate Data: A Collaborative Summit
The lack of accessible, actionable climate data is a major obstacle to effective climate action. Despite two decades of efforts, many cities struggle to interpret their progress or identify promising trends due to fragmented data. Reliable access to finance, coordinated global action, and transparent communication of progress all hinge on having data that can be integrated and analyzed for actionable insights.
During New York Climate Week, this summit aims to unite experts and practitioners in climate data digitization to collaboratively enhance our digital infrastructure for the benefit of the public. Building on the legacy of the Camda and Climate Action Data (CAD2.0) data communities, we aim to foster an environment where participants can learn from each other and engage together toward a more credible climate data ecosystem.
