About Event

Hey, hello, hi👋🏽

Welcome to Orbit, a growing community of likeminded women and mothers! A place where women and mothers can share their stories and build genuine connections with one another! We build genuine connections and friendships through storytelling and unveiling the worlds worst-best kept secret…motherhood! Orbit was founded by two best friends and mums, Brenda and Shanice with the aim of amplifying women’s voices, making them feel seen, heard and valued through virtual and in person events and workshops.

We've partnered with our new friends Babbu, the UK's first online nursery™. Babbu is designed to support, reassure and empower parents and their children in the first critical few years. With activities that respect children’s individuality allowing them to be true to themselves, help develop their respect for others, the community and the environment. Babbu provide tailored educational activities and content to support parents, at home – with the aim is to make Early Years Education easy, accessible and fun!

We're so excited to host this second workshop in our Permission To Play series! This workshop which focuses on how we can support children who are neurodiverse and/or have special needs.

We will explore the importance of play, the different types of sensory play, art and cooking as tools for communication and what to do when your little one is experiencing sensory overload.

We'll be looking at how to navigate play in public settings so that you feel prepared and also what we can do to feel supported in these spaces.

This workshop is part 1 to a two part series. Part 2 will focus on how we can use Makaton to empower our little ones and reduce communication-related meltdowns.

We'll be joined by incredible experts Jane Magnani who is the Head of Education at Babbu and Sophie Beart who is the Montessori Lead at Babbu!🙌

What to expect: Good vibes and a judgement free zone!😍💃🏼

What to bring: An open mind and no mum guilt!😊

We know you're doing your best and sometimes you just need to hear someone tell you that. So join us as we help you navigate motherhood :)

The session will be recorded for learning and marketing purposes.

We can't wait to see you!

Brenda and Shanice💕
