About Event

The data from your community powers your Orbit experience. New messages in Slack, questions in Discourse, conversations on Discord, issues raised on GitHub, there are so many places where your community lives. Orbit offers many Built-in Integrations that can be set up directly from within the Orbit app. Each integration offers more context and the potential for more comprehensive reporting and analysis.

What about the places your community operates on that are not yet incorporated as built-in integrations or have Zapier integrations? Community integrations can bridge that divide for you in your Orbit workspace.

In this Twitch stream, the Orbit Developer Relations team will show you how we build community integrations, and how you can get started in both using and building them.

The team:

Ben Greenberg (@RabbiGreenberg) is a second career developer who previously spent a decade in the fields of adult education, community organizing, and non-profit management. He works as a developer advocate for Orbit by day and experiments with open source projects at night. He writes regularly on the intersection of community development and tech. Originally from Southern California and a long time resident of New York City, Ben now resides near Tel Aviv.

Kevin Lewis (@_phzn) is a Developer Advocate at Orbit, Lead Organizer of You Got This events and founder of Event Handler - a community for developer event organizers. He is an experienced event organizer, avid boardgamer and dad to a small dog and child.

Martyn Davies (@martynd) is Developer Relations Lead at Orbit. With a background as a creative developer, product manager, and hack day organizer, he has been working as a technology advocate for over a decade, building and leading teams of all sizes, from startups to large corporates, whilst educating and empowering developers all over the world. Previous to this he worked in the music industry, which is a whole other story.
