βπ Dance or code or watch or listen or perform or ? π
βThis is London's flagship monthly live coding event. Come and see performers produce music and visuals LIVE on-the-spot by doing a thing called live coding. All aboard! β΅
βThe first hour is a roundtable meetup where you can ask questions, say hello, share projects, learn how to live code, etc! πΆ
ββFrom 7:30 onwards, it's open slots all night: Anyone and everyone can sign up to play. This means there'll be a completely different audio + visual performance every 15 minutes until the very end. Last time we had house, jungle, ambient, metal, trance, drum and bass, and more... It always depends on who turns up on the night! π₯³
βWe always have a mix of keen regulars and complete beginners performing: Everyone is welcome! Imposters especially! And we're not strict at all about what's considered "live coding" or not. We don't care if something is or isn't technically live coding: We'd love to see you perform either way! Synths welcome! Live music welcome! Help us push the boundaries of what's possible at these events :)
βThat being said... there's no pressure at all to perform or join in. You're welcome to be a fly on the wall to see what all the fuss is about, and many people hang out and chat while taking it all in.
βFinally...
This is a post-AI event. We value things made by humans, and you're invited to come and see what that means. Using computers in novel ways like ML, openCV etc is cool. We prefer to write code, music and visuals - not generate them, because we enjoy human expression π
