About Event

For the first time ever, join Brown Girl Magazine in Washington, D.C. as we celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at RASA.

With the strides South Asian Americans and the AAPI community have made across sectors, including policymaking, there is so much to celebrate. We hope to cultivate an inclusive space where anyone of any background or profession in Washington, D.C. can find community and celebrate the AAPI experience.

We’ll kickoff the night with a fireside chat with Rohini Kosoglu, Former Domestic Policy Adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris. Ask her anything about her experiences!

Our panel discussion will include:

Sunu Chandy, Poet and Legal Director at the National Women's Law Center

Radhika Prabhu, Senior Advisor at the State Department.

Sheetal Sheth, Author, Actor, Producer and Activist, Always Anjali

We’ll end the night with a book signing by Always Anjali author, Sheetal Sheth as she celebrates the release of her newest children book!

A special thank you to our host committee:
