About Event

🚀 Get Ready to Soar with Enya Learning!🚀

Join us for Enya Liftoff—an electrifying afternoon that merges education, innovation, and creativity in ways you've never seen before. This is not just a launch; it's the start of a revolution in how we empower immigrant and newcomer students through culturally responsive, tech-driven learning experiences.

What’s in Store:

  • Keynote Insights: Dive into the future of education with thought-provoking insights from industry leaders, including a keynote from our innovation expert, the cyberpunk tech-artist Kris Krüg, who will explore the role of youth in shaping tomorrow.

  • Tech & AR Showcases: Experience the cutting edge of technology with our exhibitions. Lark Spartin will bring an AR experience to life, and Saghia will captivate us with an exclusive piece.

  • Creative Fusion: Witness the powerful blend of art and education as multidisciplinary artists and visionaries collaborate to create immersive, hands-on experiences for our students. Josh Ongcol will guide a movement-based workshop, while Raha Asadi's magical visual arts will spark the imagination of children in our camp.

  • Inspiring Presentations: Explore deep dives into AI ethics, design principles, and revolutionary educational paradigms that are setting a new standard in how we teach and learn. Beyond these inspiring topics, we will hear from Sara Eftekhar, the first Canadian-Iranian woman to run for the position of MLA in BC, who will share her journey of fighting for a just future, championing women's rights, healthcare, and inclusive education.

  • Exclusive Screening: Be captivated by 'Arezoo's Jupiter,' a short film that beautifully illustrates the immigrant experience in education, followed by a live Q&A with the creative minds behind it, including filmmaker Alger Ji-Liang.

  • Fundraiser Finale: Join us in supporting Enya’s mission through an engaging fundraising session that includes opportunities for both monetary and in-kind contributions.

  • Live Performance: Cap off the evening with a stunning live performance by VOT, blending music and AI in a celebration of technology’s positive potential. Nox, a break-dancing prodigy, will surprise us with an energetic opening act.

  • Delightful Selection of Refreshments: small bites designed to keep you energized throughout the event. Sip on freshly brewed coffee and tea along with canned drinks, and enjoy a variety of snacks, all thoughtfully curated to complement the atmosphere. Whether you're mingling with guests or engaging in discussions, these refreshments are here to enhance your experience. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions so we can ensure your needs are met.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. We do our best to plan our events with universal design guidelines and accessibility requirements in mind; please make sure to reach out to us and communicate your accessibility needs.

This is your chance to be part of something groundbreaking—an event where education and innovation meet to create a brighter future. Don’t miss your opportunity to lift off with us!

👉We would like to acknowledge that this event takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples and Nations. We honour the stewards of this land, past, present, and future. Enya Learning strives to actively work against the occupation of their stolen lands.

We understand that land acknowledgment alone is not enough. It is merely a starting point. Attendees are invited to ask: how do I plan to take action to support Indigenous communities and commit to returning Land Back?
