ON COOhort Roundtable: How Do You Drive the Culture of Good Decision-Making?
As promised, this year we're turning our COOhort meetups into COOhort Roundtables, where any COO (or person in a similar role, as the most senior ops person in your company) can submit their current challenges for group discussion. If you're interested in hosting your own roundtable, submit your idea here.
This time, Ghilaine Chan, Chief of Staff at Hubbub Fundraising and Final Version, will be facilitating our session, centred around tips and tools for driving the culture of good decision-making.
💡 Some questions we'll be asking:
How do we keep people focused?
How do we manage activities and outputs?
How do we deal with
long-distance timelines
timelines with unknown decision impacts?
How do we make sure that decisions aren't driven by the loudest voice in the room?
How do we decide what information is relevant and necessary to share and what methods do we use to share them?
✅ What is the purpose of this roundtable?
To energise and encourage you to solve challenges around decision-making
To create a space where you can learn from your peers and support one another with shared challenges
❌ What is not the purpose of this roundtable?
To provide a definitive answer to your questions. We're here to offer advice from different perspectives and help you make your decisions, but we won't be able to make them for you.
