Olivine: locking up CO2 in rocks with Kelly Erhart

​Put on your Sunday best, grab a mimosa and join us for a talk by the amazing Kelly Erhart, co-founder of Project Vesta - coastal enhanced weathering with olivine. Project Vesta was one of the few projects selected by Stripe in their negative emissions initiative. Kelly has a wealth of sustainability knowledge including everything you've ever wanted to know about compostable toilets.

​Project Vesta aims to help reverse climate change by turning a trillion tonnes of CO₂ into rock. Project Vesta’s approach, called Coastal Enhanced Weathering, dramatically accelerates Earth's natural longterm CO₂ removal process. Building on 30 years of lab research, we're deploying the first-ever olivine green sand beaches to test the safety and speed of Coastal Enhanced Weathering so that it can scale globally as a CO₂ removal solution.

​Following a 30 minute talk + Q&A, we’ll break out into smaller discussion groups for the awesome folks in the community to meet each other.
