​The objective of this user training is to demonstrate EarthRanger's functionalities and to train you on how to leverage the best value out of the system. Here's a general outline of the training:

​Topic 1: Core Operations & Event Management

​This cluster introduces the foundational tools and workflows essential for daily operations within EarthRanger. It covers:

• ​Navigating the map view and utilizing map tools

• ​Understanding the Event feed, Event Categories, and Event types

• ​Applying filters and search functions

• ​Managing patrols

• ​Reporting events and compiling incident collections

​These components are crucial for monitoring activities and responding to incidents effectively.

​Topic 2: Map View & Subject Tracking

​This cluster focuses on the map view and subject tracking features of EarthRanger, outlining how to efficiently track and monitor subjects within your protected area. It includes:

• ​Utilizing the map layer window to search layers and subjects

• ​Managing spatial features

• ​Tracking and locating subjects

• ​Organizing display groups and subject groups

​Mastering these tools enables efficient tracking of wildlife and assets, contributing to informed decision-making.

​Topic 3: System Tools & Data Management

​An overview of EarthRanger's system functionalities and data handling capabilities:

• ​Navigating the EarthRanger multifunction menu (hamburger menu)

• ​Configuring alerts

​Mobile Applications: EarthRanger Mobile

​In addition to the web-based tools, EarthRanger offers a mobile application that supports field operations. The mobile app allows for:

• ​Patrol management (on-device)

​Allowing field teams to contribute to and access data while on the move.
