Out in Climate NYC - Wastewater Facility Tour
Join the Out in Climate community for a wastewater facility tour in Greenpoint, followed by an optional happy hour at Temkin's Bar!
You can also do a self-guided tour of the Newton Creek Nature Walk, which is open until dark.
Please note, DEP offers these tours for free; we are charging a modest ticket price to help cover Out in Climate's overhead costs and to reduce attrition. We've found that when folks pay even a small amount, they're more likely to attend. Please only register if you plan on attending. There is limited space for 40 people.
By joining this event, you agree to be photographed. We occasionally share photos on LinkedIn. You also agree to abide by our Code of Conduct—kindly keep in mind that this is a professional networking event, not a dating scene. Thank you for your understanding!

Face coverings are not required. If a visitor requires a face covering when they arrive, one will be provided.
Everyone must wear appropriate footwear for the facility tour (closed toe and back shoes, comfortable for walking).
During the tour, attendees will be given DEP hard hats and reflective safety vests to walk around parts of the facility.
The tour takes place both indoors and outdoors, and allows visitors access to view some of the process and operations that occur at the facility. Please Note: due to ongoing facility work, tours will not go to the top of the Digester Eggs at this time. We cannot guarantee touring specific parts of the facility due to potential inclement weather or changes to daily operations at the facility.
