Collage Club: Buttons / Crafting for Activism
Join us for collage club, crafting for activism edition! We’ll be gathering together with the Sustainable Baddie community to create buttons to wear our solidarity, with all funds benefiting Gazan Refugees.
We’ll kick off with conversation on the relationship between fashion and activism and provide some inspo on how we can incorporate activism into our everyday lives through our outfits/accessories!
Afterwards, we’ll sift through hundreds of vintage and modern magazines, collaging 2.5 inch buttons inspired by Palestinian liberation imagery.
As with all RecCreate events, you can expect to go on this journey with a room full of lovely strangers. At all Crafting for Activism events, we will offer opportunities for connection and guided conversation around our collective pursuit of solidarity and liberation, and focus on encouraging the spirit of the collective.
All materials are included. See you there!
A note on sliding scale:
All funds raised from Crafting for Activism will benefit Palestinian refugees through the Denizens Society. The minimum cost for entry covers the cost of the materials, but not the labor or donation! Please consider donating what you are able.

Denizens Society is a Brooklyn based and Palestinian owned organization that provides aid to Gazan refugees arriving in Cairo.
Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately for this event tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board. Just tell them to use your name!

Though we do our best to keep all photography / video to a minimum, please note all guests who attend consent to being photographed and videoed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes at the discretion of RecCreate Collective.
Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
