Climate Policy Simulation: A Deep Dive into En-ROADS
Bring your laptop or tablet to this hand-ons on session with the En-ROADS climate solutions simulator--a free, easy-to-use, system dynamics model co-developed by Climate Interactive and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
In this 120-minute session, you'll have the chance to test out your climate policy ideas in a safe, simulated environment, using a tool grounded in the best available science. Updated regularly, En-ROADS is tested against and calibrated to historic data and other integrated assessment models. It's structure, equations, parameters, and assumptions are all published for you to explore, and you can even challenge and change key assumptions.
This session is best suited for partipants who have previous knowledge of En-ROADS *and/or* would enjoy a deep, hands-on dive, into a global climate policy simulation tool. Those looking for a high-level overview of En-ROADS are encouraged to sign-up for our evening session (6-8PM), co-hosted with Global Shapers DC, at the MIT Washington Office: https://lu.ma/9k3jcd21
To date, more than 18,000 leaders have experiences En-ROADS through the MIT Climate Pathways Project, including 176 members of the U.S. Congress. Roll up your sleeves and join us for this in-depth experience!
