About Event

If a business wants to reduce its climate impacts, it first needs to measure them. Customers and investors also expect companies to disclose their carbon footprints. But, how does that work? In this session, we'll not only introduce you to sustainability reporting standards and corporate climate accounting methodologies, but we'll also show you their real world applications.

This ClimateCATALYST event is open only to current MBA students and incoming MBA students (students who have accepted & deposited but who haven’t started their program yet) and MBA educators.

Speaker Bios:

Brad Sparks is Executive Director of Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Foundation (US). A4S was founded in 2004 by HM King Charles when he was The Prince of Wales. Brad leads the US Chapter of the A4S CFO Leadership Network, supporting Fortune 500 CFOs and their finance teams in embedding sustainability into business decision making. He also leads A4S activities across the US, including working with investors, business schools, and accounting organizations. Brad previously served as an Executive Director with KPMG focused on ESG issues. Brad is a lecturer at UCLA Anderson and Presidio Graduate School. He also serves as an Executive-in-Residence at Cornell University’s Center for Global Sustainable Enterprise. He lives in Los Angeles.

Brian Noveck leads Environ’s sustainability assurance practice and guides organizations through the preparation of sustainability information for reporting. He has a focus in the development of sustainability data, particularly greenhouse gas inventories, for performance measurement and disclosure through various reporting mechanisms. Brian holds a master’s degree in environmental policy and sustainability from U.C. San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
