Event Information

2021 Fundraising Year-in-Review is a broad discussion on the fundraising industry during these past 12 months: The rise of Community Centric Fundraising (CFF). Are crypto donations legit? Why are donors now drawn to impact investing? And what are the qualities of nonprofit leadership?

Alex Simon is a fundraising generalist and host of the Fund Raise Now! podcast. He started his career in the Annual Fund at Cazenovia College and Union College (NY), running phonathon, student giving programs, and working on young alumni participation. For the past five years, he's been the Director of Development for Masonic Medical Research Institute and is currently with the Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York.

About: The Donor Participation Project (DPP) convenes fundraising professionals who are concerned about the nationwide decline in donor participation (20 million US households lost between 2000-2016).

We believe this can be solved by changing our fundraising practices and want to learn from peers who are moving the participation needle.
