About Event

Another Boston Hardware Meetup is right around the corner, and it will be our 50th event! That's a huge milestone and we're super excited to be returning to Formlabs for it right on the heels of their Form 4 announcement. We'll hear from the team behind the new SLA printer as well as discuss conceptual design and decision making, and scrappy startup journeys.

We have a great group of guest speakers

  • Cole Durbin, Technical Program Manager for Form 4 at Formlabs. Cole helped lead the development of the Form 4 over the past 3 years and will share a bit about their efforts to re-imagine a beloved workhorse of hardware product design teams everywhere.

  • Matt Fitzgerald is a founding engineer at Diakronos and an expert in conceptual design and decision making for engineering. He will talk about how we can frame our design problems in a way that best matches our mental model of decisions, providing structure that can increase the value and robustness of our solutions.

  • Joshua Baum, co-founder and CTO of Tubender. Tubender started as Jaison's senior project in the Capstone Program at Northeastern University where they completed a working prototype of the machine. From there it has been Jaison and Josh's goal to build this into a company to provide Tubender to the masses. A portable, automatic, freeform tube bending machine.
