Join Alexa Phillips in Seattle for International Generalist Day - a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 3rd, 2025.
This year we have events across 30+ countries and 80+ locations!
Alexa is hosting an exciting community-building gathering at Fremont Brewing's Urban Beer Garden to connect Seattle-area generalists, brainstorm what this community could look like locally, and share skills, ideas, and stories. It's the perfect opportunity to help shape the future of Seattle's generalist community from the ground up.
What is a generalist? Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

Your host Alexa is a brand and content marketing strategist, writer, and multipassionate creative who helps startups close the gap between vision and value. Her favorite part about being a generalist? "I love knowing a little bit about a lot and being able to use that to my advantage in my work. Being a generalist allows me to adapt, pivot, and work with a variety of different people on really cool projects. It also allows me to bring a more nuanced perspective to my written work, as I can connect different ideas together across topics and subjects."
As Alexa shares: "I'm excited to bring this community to Seattle and to meet and connect with other generalists in the area."
