Can't attend this day/time? Class will be recorded (only the teacher will be recorded) and sent to all who register (recording sent after class in followup email) ... watch & practice as much as you'd like (recording will expire after 1 week).

Join Jenny White in an all levels stay at hOMe yin yoga mini retreat, in celebration of October's Libra New Moon energy. She'll guide you to incorporate crystals and essential oils throughout your poses, to enhance your practice if you like (optional) as she highlights the astrology behind this specific new moon.

The moon is our closest celestial neighbor and powerfully influences every living thing on our planet. Within 28 days, the moon passes through 8 phases, each with its own unique characteristics. The new moon is the start of this cycle, and the time that we set our dreams and intentions for the next month.

Yin yoga is a gentle form of yoga, appropriate for any level, and the ultimate self care. In yin, we hold poses for longer amounts of time to allow gravity to take over, our parasympathetic nervous system to kick in gear, and calm in our mind and body.  It is TRULY the best hour of self care.

Tonight's practice will encourage you to tap into the energy behind this specific new moon in a way that serves your life.

Suggested Crystal For October New Moon Yin Yoga Class :

This potent New Moon in Libra is all about making peace with relationships - this will resonate on different levels for each of us and could refer to harmonizing relationships with ourselves personally, others, our environment, etc. Choose a crystal based on what's resonating with you around this time. Some suggestions are :

  • Rose Quartz - for relationships with oneself and compassion

  • Selenite - its purifying aspects are excellent for harmony intentions

  • Clear Quartz - for aligning and amplifying your communication

  • Blue Kyanite - for strengthening your voice

  • Blue Lace Agate - for laying boundaries

  • Blue Chalcedony - for staying calm and present

  • Smoky Quartz - for absorbing negative energy and releasing self doubt

  • SET UP :

I encourage you to treat your practice like a mini home retreat for yourself. Below are some of my favorite suggestions for a blissful practice :

- Set up your area in a quiet and dim space. If you love candles, essential oils, etc, set them up around you. I have students that practice in their in their living room, in a dedicated yoga space in their home, in their closet! Truly just get to your mat, but if it helps you to create an aesthetic space that grounds and calms you, then have fun creating your special space.

- I love to bring a journal to my mat, especially during moon practices, in case I'm inspired by a thought that comes up.

- A yoga mat is not necessary for yin, but if you have one, unroll it.  You could even get super comfy by placing a bath mat or blanket on top of your mat (especially if you have hardwood floors)!

- For aroma yin, I suggest incorporating your oils in the following ways :

  • diffuse your blend in your yoga space

  • prep a damp facecloth ahead of class - add a drop or two of your blend. place it in the fridge for a couple of hours before your practice, then have it near your mat to use during savasana.

  • keep a bottle/roller/spray bottle of your oil or blend nearby your mat to incorporate during class.

- Have several yoga props available...blocks and bolsters if you have them, bed pillows, blankets and towels if you don't.

- It might feel lovely to wrap yourself in a blanket during your practice or savasana - consider having one nearby just in case!
