THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES…IN WEST SUSSEX
Join us for a refreshing hike through the picturesque landscapes of West Sussex, combining nature's beauty with great company. This scenic, moderately challenging hike will take us along the River Arun, through peaceful woodlands, offering ample opportunities to appreciate the natural and cultural beauty of the area. We'll conclude the day with a well-deserved drink at a cozy local pub or café.

WHAT TO EXPECT
THE HIKE
This circular route starts and ends at the Arundel Museum and Heritage Centre, guiding us along the scenic banks of the River Arun, through serene woodlands, and past the historic Arundel Castle. The trail includes a couple of inclines and a mix of terrains, making it suitable for hikers with a moderate fitness level. Sturdy, waterproof walking shoes are highly recommended, especially after recent rain.
HOW TO GET THERE
By Public Transport:
Train: Take a train from London Victoria, London Bridge or Clapham Junction to Arundel Station (Southern Railway).
By Car:
Parking: Parking is available at Mill Road Car Park, near the Arundel Museum and Heritage Centre. Use postcode BN18 9PA for navigation.
MEETING POINT
We will meet outside the Arundel Museum and Heritage Centre at 10:30.
WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR
A daypack or small rucksack
Reusable water bottle
Snacks or a sandwich for along the way.
Warm clothing: beanie, gloves, scarf, raincoat, and sturdy, waterproof shoes
HOW TO BOOK
Tickets are £10 per person.

What if it rains heavily? Are we going ahead?
The hike will only be postponed if the weather is deemed unsafe. Otherwise, we’ll proceed, potentially shortening the route to keep everyone dry.
