​About Katja Meier

​As the founder and CEO of Zenka Films, Katja is building a world where female-driven content is the norm, and female heroes above the age of 50 are no longer the exception on our TV screens. Born in Switzerland in 1972, Katja earned a degree in performing arts and worked for a few years as an actor in the German-speaking countries. In her mid-twenties, she traded Shakespeare and Goethe for a backpack and settled in Italy in 1999. Living between different countries and cultures, Katja cares deeply about cross-cultural and cross-generational connections.
