An Ode to Fear: Rewriting What Holds You Back
Lab X Presents: An Ode to Fear with Lauren Ducrey
Creativity isn’t always a burst of light—it’s often a flicker that emerges from shadow. In this session, we meet fear not with strategies or fixes, but with presence and poetry. Through guided reflection, partner dialogue, and mindful writing, you’ll reframe fear as an invitation: to feel more deeply, to speak more truthfully, and to write your way back into love.
You’ll leave with a self-authored “Ode to Fear”—a poetic compass to return to when the creative path feels clouded.
This workshop is for you if you’re...
🌀 Held back by creative fear or a critical inner voice
🌀 Curious about poetry, even if you’ve never written a word
🌀 Wanting to turn your inner doubts into something beautiful
🌀 Longing to reconnect with your creativity without pressure or perfection
🌀 Tired of overthinking and craving a more embodied creative practice
What to Expect
An Ode to Fear is a 2-hour live virtual session guided by Lauren Ducrey. Through a blend of mindfulness, poetic reflection, and creative writing, you’ll explore:
How to identify and befriend your creative fears with compassion
How to use poetry as a non-linear way to hold uncertainty and access truth
How to express stuckness through metaphor and rhythm, rather than logic
How to craft a personal Ode that anchors your creative process
How to reclaim fear as a wise presence, not a block
You’ll leave with a self-authored poetic compass to guide your creative journey—something honest, resonant, and uniquely yours.
This session is open to all and welcomes anyone—no previous experience with poetry, writing, or mindfulness is required.
