Leveraging Soil Complexity and Food Systems for Climate
Co-hosted by Eion, InnerPlant, and Plum Alley. Hosted at Rise, created by Barclays.
Soil, agriculture and food systems are all highly complex and critical for meeting climate goals.
They are also deeply interlinked. Advances in soil carbon measurement (MRV) and more reliable carbon accounting are helping us develop a better understanding of soil as a natural system, constantly interacting in unique ways as the macro environment shifts beneath our feet.
This understanding helps us better engage and align agriculture and food systems around policies and practices that advance climate and sustainability, and guides investment and innovation.
Join us for a panel at NY Climate Week to dig into these themes and discuss topics like:
Technologies for sustainability in agriculture and valuable learnings
Scaling the measurement of carbon in soil, and where we are today with soil carbon accounting and data management
Supporting policies that send price signals and increase trust, confidence and demand in agriculture
The farmers' role in all of this: derisking adoption of climate smart practices, non-technical challenges, external engagement for climate tech companies operating in rural areas, the future for rural areas
