About Event

In an effort to identify and address inequities created through entrenched pedagogical precedents and assumptions, this workshop consists of role-playing exercises in which faculty place themselves in the position of students reading a course exercise, followed by an open-ended discussion focusing on what a transparent approach to teaching and learning architecture engenders.

Requirements: Participants in this workshop are encouraged to be educators or teachers of any capacity. Please plan to bring an assignment that you would like to workshop during the event. Participation will be capped to ensure time for engaged practice, so registration is required for attendance.

This event will be facilitated by Amber Bartosh, Lori Brown, Britt Eversole, Joseph Godlewski, Emily Pellicano, Yutaka Sho.

Please note: This event may be recorded. The recording may be made public after the close of ABC 2022 and some of the imagery and content from this session may be used for academic publications, resources and other digital or print purposes. By attending this session you are consenting to being recorded. Please get in touch with an organizer if you would like to discuss this, or would like to attend but maintain your anonymity.
