Exploring Sex & Psychedelics
The Department of Consciousness invites you to an experiential evening exploring the intersection of psychedelics and sexuality at a beautiful space in Topanga on Thursday, August 3 at 7pm. Our special guest is Dr. Cat Meyer, PsyD, LMFT, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in sex, trauma, and ketamine-assisted therapy.
The evening will open up with a conversation about the ancient uses of psychedelics to enhance intimacy leading into how they are used today. We will then move into the experiential portion where participants will have the option to consume kanna, an empathogenic plant that opens the heart, grounds the nervous system, and relieves stress and anxiety. Dr. Cat will lead the group through breath, sound, and movement exercises to activate higher states of awareness which can be integrated in one's sex life. Couples and solo participants are welcome to attend the experience.
This intimate event will be limited to 20 participants. Don’t miss out on this mind expanding and multi-sensory experience.
We are proud to partner with KA! Empathogenics who will be providing their whole plant derived kanna tinctures for consumption at the event.
*Do not use any KA! products in conjunction with Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOI’s), Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI’s), Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake inhibitors (SNRI's) or Central Nervous System (CNS) depressants.
