​About:

​The Uncomfortably, Beautifully Human Online Book Club is a monthly get-together not only lovers of books, but those of us who want to talk about them too. Talk about the deep hidden meanings, the unique perspectives and life lessons we receive, the wisdom weaved through words and the emotions we felt along the way. This is for those of you where reading is not only a hobby, but a way to connect more intimately with life. A method of bringing more emotion, depth and joy to our human experience. This is a book club for those of you who want to share in the uncomfortable, beautiful experience that is being human.

​Intentions and structure:

The book club will run once a month for 6 months, starting on September the 12th, on Zoom for one-hour. A week before each call you'll be sent the agenda and format of the call. Every month we'll have a new theme (I'm thinking love for the first one🤩) and a new book, as well as the opportunity to reflect and discuss the book we read in the month prior. As this is our first get together, we'll use this call to discuss our first book, set our intentions for our time together and get to know one another. To open the call, I'll always guide in a brief 5-minute drop in meditation so that we're all present for the time together. We'll reflect on the book, share our thoughts. If we have a full group, we'll section off into different breakout rooms to talk more intimately with the individuals who are part of the club. Once you've joined, you'll be invited to an online community space where we can talk easily throughout the month and stay connected between the calls. :)

​The donation to join this book-club will be a minimum of £12 for 6 months to join. You are welcome to donate more if you like. In our first month, as a group, we'll vote on the charity or cause that we'd like to donate the proceeds towards. :)

​Creating a safe space:

We welcome all expressions of the human experience, meaning however you view and identify yourself, or if you don't at all, you're very welcome here. What we do ask is that you follow and keep to the protocols and agreements that we share with everyone who joins us. Once you register for free on this event page, you'll be sent and email and asked to read through and sign this agreement prior to being admitted into the monthly get-together. This is not a legally binding document, but instead an acknowledgement and commitment to show-up in this book club with integrity, compassion and respect for one another.
