About Event

The Spring Equinox is the start of the astrological new year and a time that represents new beginnings and blooming. Entering this new season is the perfect time to invite joy into your fresh start and gratitude for all that you’ve held and journeyed through. Spring time is all about nature being reborn, life waking up at a gentle pace, and welcoming new growth. As a part of nature, this is happening within us too. What are you ready to see flourish in your life? How can you step into this cycle with the joyful welcoming you deserve?

In this space held and curated by The Easeful Place in collaboration with Founder and retreat host Asli from Decentralised Life, you're welcomed to spend a slow Sunday in reset mode.

We invite you to celebrate, create, release, embrace big visions, and be in loving community with us.

What we will do::

We will spend time with ourselves and each other dipping into gratitude and excitement in a friendly gathering. This is what you can expect:

Guided journal prompts

Writing letters to ourselves

Creating notes to self and affirmations for the year to come

Connecting with new friends and community

A space to ease into your fresh start the way you want

What you will leave with::

A fun afternoon spent aligning with the new year in good company

A new journal

A travel-sized jar of self-made notes, reminders, and affirmations

An introduction to mindfulness practices to carry you throughout the year

Notes::

You are welcome to bring along your own journal or you can purchase a brand new one crafted by local artisans, provided at the event.

A range of delicious ital (plant/from the earth) snacks, local snacks, and drinks will be provided.

This event is open to all, whether you’re a long-time journaller or newbie. The exercises are intentionally tailored to all levels and you’re encouraged to come as you are.

This event will be approximately 1.5 hours. You'll be sent exact location details after signing up.

Attendance to this event is free but donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated to compensate for the resources and refreshments.

About ::

Hi, I’m Amara Amaryah. I am a poet-essayist, author, mindfulness advocate and founder of The Easeful Place. I care deeply about affirming personal and collective worthiness and holding safe space to restore ease. The Easeful Place is an extension of this, offering intentional space for intimacy, unlearning, and discovering soulful creativity. I write the Life Is In Love With Me newsletter, where I archive life’s love stories and learnings from around the world. My poetry has lived on international stages and in the pages of literary journals as well as in my debut pamphlet ‘The Opposite of an Exodus’ (Bad Betty Press, 2021).

The Easeful Place is a community and resource for mindful creativity. It’s where we share journal prompts, mindfulness resources and activities, online and in-person events, creative inspiration from around the world and space to slow down and reflect. Our gatherings are always warm, intimate and globally attended. Check out more of what we do here

Asli is the founder of Malmal & Change Rhythm, a natural hair and skincare enthusiast, a beekeeper, a mother, a nomad, a homesteader/homemaker growing and raising what she eats with care and teaching others the ins and outs of it all through homesteading workshops and retreats in Belize.

The Decentralised Life Homesteading Retreat is a chance to learn the ropes of off-grid living, get hands on experience to understand how to grow your own food, make your own organic hair and skin care products, build a herbal medicine cabinet and begin your journey with self-sustaining homesteading practices.

We can't wait to meet you and welcome Spring together! In the meantime, feel free to grab some free journal and self-reflection resources. Feel free to reach out with any questions. See you soon!
