Yes, You Can Convince Your Boss • 2-Day Workshop
Join hosts Tim Yeo (The Quiet Achiever) and Ryan Rumsey (CDO School) for this one-time-only workshop.
Stop Being Ignored. Start Getting Results.
Your great ideas keep hitting a wall. You leave meetings frustrated, wondering why your boss doesn't listen. The harsh truth? Being right isn't enough.
In the past year, how many of your best ideas died because you couldn't get buy-in? How many times have you responded to someone saying “no” by fuming at your desk, lashing out in anger, or shaming yourself for letting your teammates down?
That sucks. We don’t want that for you.
"This has saved me from some embarrassing presentations when I'd have known I’m right, but can’t say why." — Julia Racsko
The Problem Isn't Your Ideas. It's That Humans are Designed to Resist Change. It’s Time to Shift Tactics.
For the most part, bosses (or anyone else you're trying to convince) have more than enough information to make a rational decision. But, humans don't always act rationally.
They make decisions based on instinct, gut feel, relationship, ego, or fear. And the environment you work in affects their behavior more than their attitude, preferences, or personal beliefs.
When they tell you to:
"Just be more confident!"
"Command the room!"
"Put yourself out there more!"
"Network better!"
...they're not giving you actionable advice–they're revealing their preference. Those preferences aren't fixed, and you can help create new preferences.
"Tim gave me incredible advice and methods I could use in real-life scenarios. He showed me how to build confidence to speak up in uncomfortable situations. I highly recommend." — Ezra Ju
✅ This Workshop Hits Different
For six years, we have studied why talented people struggle to gain influence despite their expertise and know-how. Separately, they've taught and coached 1000s of mid-career professionals actionable ways to to get buy-in.
Together, they bring their combined knowledge and blend proven-techniques you won't find anywhere else.
So, how is this workshop different? You'll focus on what's missing from others: understanding political capital, framing an argument, and the written/verbal communication skills that no one teaches you.
Rather than ask or guess what your boss wants, we'll help you:
Observe what they do
Learn their "love language"
Frame new options
Sell your idea
"This gave me a lot of space to unpack what I struggle with as an introvert, and tackled each part with an actionable tip. The actionable nature really helped." — Kumari Pacheco
✅ Who This Workshop Is For:
Anyone with a boss
Senior ICs whose ideas get overlooked despite their technical merit or domain expertise
Managers who need stakeholder buy-in to move projects forward
Anyone tired of seeing less qualified ideas win simply because they were presented "better"
✅ What You'll Actually DO (Not Just Learn):
This is a hands-on workshop, based on a real situation you're facing (or faced). During the session you will:
Decide on which idea you want to get buy-in for
Diagnose the source of tension between you and your boss
Identify your boss's "love language" so you can match their leadership style
Shape your argument in 4 different formats: email, presentation deck, verbal, and coaching
Make a plan to sell your ideas
You'll walk away with:
Ready-to-use email templates for presenting your ideas to resistant stakeholders
Storytelling frameworks that connect your idea to outcomes executives care about
Reusable Figma boards to practice and prepare your arguments
Insights and guidance from a close cohort of peers
