New York AI Users - AI Tech Talks, Demo and Social: AI in Filmmaking & Media
AI tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Bard, Midjourney, Dall-E, and many others will play an increasingly large role in our day-to-day lives. Art, Filmmaking and Media as a whole are being transformed by it. To this end, New York AI Users will host at the Bryant Park-adjacent, beautiful startup HQ of EdTech & AI firm Merlyn Mind! Merlyn will also provide free pizza and drinks! From the creators and organizers of New York Tech & Beer®, New York AI Users brings together AI enthusiasts in the New York area who use or want to use AI to meet their creative, entrepreneurial, and technical aspirations. No technical background is required, only an interest in making use of these tools of the future.

Talks on AI:
Our first talk will be by Katia Karpenko, a content creator in the field of AI and worked as a content strategist at Meta (formerly Facebook) for their VR products. She will talk about creating films with a variety of AI tools, and showcase some of the cool films she's made with AI.
Next, we'll hear from Shafik Quoraishee, a senior engineer who works in full stack and AI development, who will talk about GANS (Generative Adversarial Networks) and how they're used for a variety of synthetic media - most famously deepfakes
