Open Studio | HKS Architects
Collaboration is at the heart of the design industry, yet there is a lack of communication and guidance from university to practice in the route to qualifiying as an Architect. We bridge this gap by opening up studios across London, inviting a select group of young professionals who are looking for mentorship, guidance and feedback.
This time we are hosted at HKS Architects, Part 1 and 2 students and graduates are invited to present a selection of their work and gain feedback and support with their portfolios. Additionally, you will be able to network with and learn more about the practice.
The London studio of HKS is the hub for the firm’s projects in the UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Our 75-strong team helps clients from the first stages of strategic planning, identifying opportunities with market and economic analysis, feasibility and business case preparation, through master planning, design and delivery and beyond, with ongoing performance monitoring and solutions that are flexible enough to allow for changing use over time.
Developers, investors, educational institutions, health care providers, corporates, sports, leisure and hospitality owners and operators seek out advice to help them develop solutions that give them beautiful buildings and campuses that stand the test of time and deliver the best possible revenue. Market-leading expertise, the ability to draw on the experience of our global colleagues, and the gravitas to contribute to our clients’ strategic planning mean we deliver not just buildings, but places and spaces that work hard for owners and users.
