Stanford Entrepreneurs Presents: Silicon Valley TV Show Producer Todd Silverstein
Co-hosted by Stanford Entrepreneurs, Wharton Alumnae Founders & Funders, Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs United, and Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs Texas Chapter.
🎙️ Inside HBO's Silicon Valley – Stories from Producer, Tech Consultant & Entrepreneur Todd Silverstein
Meet Todd Silverstein, producer and lead technical consultant for HBO’s Emmy-winning Silicon Valley. A seasoned entrepreneur who sold his startup Vizify to Yahoo and later founded Narō in Tokyo, Todd currently is the CPO of iKHOR Labs, an AI animation company in Tokyo. He holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA in Computer Science, Anthropology, and Literature from Cornell.
Todd will share how his journey (from launching Vizify and working at Yahoo and Tumblr, to entrepreneurship in Japan) informed his role in shaping Silicon Valley’s authentic tech-and-startup lens.
He’ll take us behind the scenes of the writers’ room: translating real-world developer experiences into technically accurate, emotionally resonant stories. Todd's direct contributions include the epic rat infestation scene in the series finale and Jian-Yang’s legendary “Not Hotdog” app. You'll even spot him in a cameo walking out on Gavin Belson’s Q&A upon departing Hooli.
We’ll wrap with audience Q&A. Submit your questions when you register or ask them live during the session.
Moderated by Stanford Entrepreneurs President Joseph Pigato and Technical Director Pablo Hernandez.
