Sustainable financing for green skills building for a just & equitable climate transition
FSD Africa in partnership with Shortlist Futures and First Consult are co-hosting a closed-door meeting on the sidelines of the Africa Climate Summit 2, in Addis Ababa.
This session will focus on integrating a human capital development lens into capital mobilisation for an equitable and sustainable green transition. It will aim to coalesce action and secure commitment from strategic stakeholders to integrate green skills development in financing priorities.
We will:
Explore and commit to piloting a financing instrument that can be leveraged to mobilise capital, facilitate learning and be scaled up to drive green skills development in Africa.
Identify relevant policies, governance, and regulatory structures to support Africa’s green skills labour markets.
Launch a stakeholder coalition that drives collaborative efforts to mobilise investments for large-scale green skills programmes.
Amplify Africa’s unified voice in global conversations regarding green skills and jobs in ongoing discussions, including the Sustainable Business COP (where FSD Africa is participating on the Green Skills WG), in the lead up to COP 30.
Please register here by Wednesday, 27th August, to secure your spot in this discussion. Limited slots available.
Details of the venue and time will be sent to you upon registration.
