From Data to Decisions: Using Climate Risk Tools for Industrial Climate Action
Climate risk analysis tools enable spatial analysis of climate hazards, exposure, and vulnerability, empowering industries to make climate-smart decisions—from site selection to operational risk planning. These tools allow users to choose vulnerability indicators relevant to their sector, ensuring context-sensitive insights.
This event showcases the Climate Risk Assessment Tool (CRAT) developed by the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy in collaboration with the Puducherry Climate Change Cell. While CRAT in its current demo stage does not include industries as a sector, our objective is to showcase possibilities on how industries can proactively assess climate risks and build long-term resilience by integrating open-access, science-based tools like CRAT into planning and investment decisions.
The target audience for this demo includes sustainability heads, industrial planners, ESG officers, and urban resilience practitioners seeking scalable, data-backed tools to adapt to the climate crisis.
