VISION.HACK - Resume Workshop
WHAT IS THE RESUME WORKHOP?
The Resume Building Workshops as part of the VISION HACK SERIES are designed to empower students to create and share their resumes, connect with recruiters, and succeed at job fairs.
These workshops take place at each hackathon of the VISION HACK SERIES as part of the job fair housed in the Career Center on-site. This same content is then repeated in the weeks between each hackathon to ensure students who cannot attend in-person receive access to career development resources.
Each session runs for one hour via Google Meet and is designed for up to 50 participants to attend. While each workshop has a theme/focus, the content is optimized for the success of the students who can only attend one of the workshops offered.
The series draws from over a decade of experience helping more than 60,000 young people access careers in tech. It’s led by experts in workforce development and entrepreneurship, who provide live mentorship, personalized feedback, and practical insights.
The curriculum combines strategic instruction, real-world examples, AI-powered resume tools, and peer review to help participants clearly express their unique strengths and potential. The workshops are tailored for students ages 14-30, with a focus on equity, exposure, and long-term impact for each of the age categories: 14-17, 18-23, and 24-30.
