Oil Painting Class - Still Life
Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, a curated oil painting class popping up in Echo Park for June 2025.

🎨 In this 3 hour oil painting class we'll be painting a still life of fruit, reference provided. We'll go over composition, sketching, painting in layers, color mixing, and how to use all the materials provided. I'll walk you through every step of the way.
👩🏽🎨 You'll learn the techniques of the Renaissance Masters as we create our very own masterpieces in the style of traditional realism. This is a great way to learn how to use oil paints and can serve as a jumping off point to develop your own unique style.
🖼️ By the end of our time together you'll have a beautiful painting to take home with you!
🖌️ No experience necessary, all supplies are provided (including aprons!)

Location: We are located right by Eightfold Coffee in Echo Park. Please budget extra time to find parking.

About your instructor: Tanya has been working in film and advertising as an illustrator and storyboard artist for over 10 years. She studied oil painting at various studios in LA and Florence, Italy. Her goal is to share her love of painting with anyone who’s willing to try!
