Welcome from the organizer
17.35 - 17.55 "Harnessing the power of blockchain and AI to drive the energy transition" by Nick Jones, CEO of Zumo
Fresh from his trip to New York Climate Week, Nick will share insights from the cutting edge of the energy transition and the fight against climate change. The economic opportunity this represents is the largest since the development of the internet and will be the focus of “Industrial Revolution 4.0”. AI and blockchain will play a key part in delivering the technological innovation, trust and delivery needed to drive through the transition but both require vast amounts of electricity, as does cloud computing. Nick will give his thoughts on how we can harness this hunger for power as an accelerant rather than a hindrance in the coming years.

18.10 - 18.30 "The Future of Ethereum Staking:
Democratising validation with DVT and Lido CSM" by John Semple, Co-Founder of StakeCat
This talk introduces Ethereum staking and its importance for network security, highlighting the challenges of solo staking such as high costs and technical requirements. It then presents Lido's Community Staking Module (CSM) and Decentralized Validator Technology (DVT) as solutions to lower entry barriers and increase accessibility for potential validators. The presentation emphasizes the benefits of these technologies, including reduced individual risk, increased decentralization, and potentially higher rewards compared to traditional solo staking
