Location We'll be in a light-filled and spacious living room near the Castro in SF (exact address will be visible after registration).
What is T-group? T-group is a place to see and be seen... for our feelings. We anchor in the "here and now" with up to 12 people to connect with ourselves and fellow participants. It's about being genuine, listening deeply, and taking calibrated steps out of our comfort zones. The weekend will blend a discussion of some concepts we invite you to put into practice in T-group (~10%), guided exercises for breaking the ice and deepening the learning (~10%), and diving deep in group conversations (~80%).
What T-group is NOT: a professional networking group, a dating group, group therapy, a lecture where one person speaks and others listen, a support group where you talk about struggles and get advice.
What can I gain from participating in T-Group? Learning in T-group is mostly self-directed, and you are invited to choose your own adventure. But here are some things you might get to practice over the course of the weekend:
Sensing, being present with, and expressing emotions
Giving and receiving feedback (i.e., sharing the emotional impact of what others say or do)
Building trust and fostering deeper connections
Navigating conflicts and repairing ruptures in relationships
Influencing individuals and group dynamics
And some things you might walk away with:
A better understanding of your own needs and boundaries
Seeing your behavioral patterns, preferences, and motivations more clearly
Receiving candid perspectives on how others perceive you
Who should attend T-group?
If some or all of the above sounds like your idea of a good time, then T-group is for you! We'll meet you where you are so previous experience is not required. We just ask that you:
Bring your curiosity and a growth mindset (i.e., openess to learning and receiving feedback)
Stay anchored in the "here and now" (we'll say more about what this means in the workshop)
Arrive on time and participate throughout the entire day
Deposit This workshop is offered freely, but a $125 deposit is required to secure your spot. The deposit will be refunded in full at the end of the workshop. You can also request a full refund up to 5 days before the start of the event. Please note, to be fair to others who may be interested in participating and to ensure a good experience for all attendees, if you claim a spot but do not attend the entire workshop, we will not refund your deposit (though we'll thoughtfully consider any extenuating circumstances, which will be handled on a case-by-case basis)
Donations Participants will have the opportunity to make a (entirely optional) donation to support our work. We'll share more details at the end of the workshop.
