UConn DojoExplore Seminar 2: Spinout Founder
Nucleate Dojo is Nucleate’s undergraduate subdivision, empowering college students to become the next biotech leaders through open-access education, capital, and community.
DojoExplore is a 5-week, introductory in-person seminar series designed to expose undergraduate students to the field of biotech, its basic functions, and its multitude of opportunities. The program is executed in collaboration with UConn iGEM. Guests ranging from biotech VC to early-stage biotech founders to industry and academia leaders will be carrying out 1-1.5 hour seminars throughout the Fall term.

About Ashkan Novin
Dr. Novin is the CEO and Co-Founder of Genesist, a biotech startup specializing in CRISPR-based therapeutics for preventing cancer metastasis and recurrence. The method behind Genesist was developed while Dr. Novin was pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at UConn Health. His innovative approach combines evolutionary biology and CRISPR technology to empower surrounding tissue and make it more resistant to cancer and prevent metastasis.
