Ruth White
Dr. Ruth C. White is a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in mental health, maternal and child health, and the social determinants of health. She earned her MPH in Maternal & Child Health and International Health from UC Berkeley and has since applied her expertise across academia, research, and community-based initiatives. As a public health researcher, she has led evaluations of health and social welfare programs, focusing on community partnerships for improving health outcomes. She has also developed training programs for healthcare and social service professionals to enhance culturally competent care.
Dr. White’s work extends internationally, having co-founded and led a community-based maternal health project in Uganda. She has been a strong advocate for reducing health disparities, particularly in marginalized populations, and has worked on public health initiatives addressing mental health stigma, reproductive health, and stress management. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates social work, public health, and policy advocacy to promote equitable healthcare systems.
