About Event

Native American-Indigenous Heritage Month Coffee Convo:

Come meet new and old friends at our Coffee Convo, while celebrating Native American-Indigenous Heritage Month at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability!

We will have a fun community coffee hour with pastries, including scones, donuts, and muffins, along with book prizes. The coffee hour will take place in Mitchell Patio (in front of the Mitchell Earth Sciences building) on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 11:00am-12:00pm.

We welcome student leaders from the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Chapter at Stanford University to hear about their work in creating an inclusive culture at Stanford. NACC Associate Director Greg Graves will share with us a brief history of the Native American-Indigenous community at Stanford.

Stanford AISES aims to substantially increase the representation of American Indian and Alaskan Native students in engineering, science, and other related technology disciplines by promoting a learning atmosphere that encourages professionalism and academic success.

If you need a disability-related accommodation, please contact Sophia Gunning via email: sgunning@stanford.edu.

The event is open to all of the Stanford community but Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability community members attending this Coffee Convo will earn a digital "e" sticker, as part of the efforts toward creating more awareness around the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability DEI Action Plan.
