Lit(erature) to the Tit x Belfast Book Festival: May Meet Up
Join Lit(erature) to the Tit x Belfast Book Festival for a very special collab on Tuesday 28th May!
The Belfast Book Festival is Northern Ireland's leading literary festival which is now on its 14th year, running from 6th - 13th June at Crescent Arts Centre!!
To celebrate the launch of Belfast Book Festival, we have 3 special books of the month from local Irish authors of different genres to choose from: poetry, short stories, and a non-fiction novel.
Pick whichever one you like the sound of best, or all 3 if you're feeling hardcore! The books are:
'The Grass Ceiling: On Being a Woman in Sport' by Eimear Ryan
'Openings: Thirteen Stories' by Lucy Caldwell - Belfast Book Festival's Patron
'We Play Here' by Dawn Watson
You can pick up a copies of each book from a retailer of your choice, bonus points if you get it from a local independent bookshop
What to expect on the evening?
Like all of our meet ups and events, expect lots of craic, a chance to connect with other like-minded Lit(erature) to the Tit / Women of Colour Belfast members and soak up the good vibes
The Creators of Belfast Book Festival will be in attendance to share more about the upcoming Festival, the events, authors etc!
Lucky Duck Appetisers are included in your ticket this month, and will be served on arrival (please get in touch when booking if you have any dietary requirements)
Book Swap: to participate bring a book of your choice that you'd like to swap and you'll be able to browse other people's selections and go home with another book for your TBR.
A bar stocked with plenty of cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic alternatives. Southside Social also has a Chinese Take-away inside the venue serving food until 9pm, if you're feeling a little peckish!
Book of the month discussion, this month we have THREE books to choose from!
Bookish Bingo, and other fun activities and ice breakers
This is a completely open event, you don't have to have came along to any of our previous meet ups / events to attend! So if you've always wanted to join, please come along by yourself or bring a friend! You will be greeted with big smiles!!!!! And if you want to join Bookclub the biggest and best girl gang in Belfast - Lit(erature) to the Tit, there's no registration or any of that nonsense just dip in and out as you please! We are always welcoming new members!
Respectively, tickets are non-refundable and go towards organisational and facilitation costs! Please bear this in mind before purchasing. Where possible we will offer the ticket to someone on the waiting list, but please give us as much time as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
