Syrian-German Tech & Entrepreneurship Day
In the wake of Syria’s liberation on December 8, 2024, the nation now faces the critical challenge of rebuilding its digital infrastructure, economy, entrepreneurship ecosystem, and institutions. With Germany hosting the largest Syrian tech and entrepreneurial diaspora, this event serves as a platform to explore how cross-border collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship can drive Syria’s recovery and growth.
Co-organized by SYNC Berlin, the Syrian Youth Assembly, and Startup Syria, and sponsored by SAP, the event will convene 100–120 participants. These include Syrian and international entrepreneurs, engineers, researchers, scientists, tech companies, NGOs, investors, hiring platforms, and ecosystem enablers, all coming together to shape a brighter future for Syria.

Opening Sessions: The day starts with breakfast and networking, followed by welcome remarks introducing Startup Syria, SYA and SYNC’s mission and goals.
Key Sessions: Includes a fireside chat with SAP on innovation and tech in rebuilding, stories of entrepreneurship in vulnerable Syrian communities, and the role of the Syrian diaspora in reconstruction efforts.
Workshops and Roundtables: Cover topics such as civil society and tech, Syrian startups in the diaspora, employment and upskilling, and discussions on science and AI.
Panel Discussion: Focused on investing in emerging ecosystems, with insights from VCs and mission-driven funds on responsible investment in post-conflict regions.

Startup Syria is a community-powered initiative founded in 2013, dedicated to supporting founders, startups, and entrepreneurship support organizations working in and for Syria. We actively engage with both the local Syrian entrepreneurship community and the Syrian diaspora to foster the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise.
